Community Engagement at Chatsworth House

During the summer of 2022, I was funded to carry out a community engagement programme at Chatsworth House during their outdoor sculpture exhibition, ‘Radical Horizons: The Art of Burning Man’. This involved engaging members of the public with the sculptures through creative workshop leading, conversations and guided tours.

Introducing participants to new creative skills was a real focus when planning workshops at Chatsworth, using processes such as cyanotype printing to not only teach new skills but to encourage engagement with the natural land around the estate. My time here also involved assisting other workshop facilitators on sessions such as origami folding, clay modelling, rice paper collaging, poly printing and much more!
